The webcam/camera/microphone is not functioning.
• Please check in advance whether you have a device with a webcam and microphone.
Please check the item description. The exact features and technical details of the device are available in our online shop. Please refer to the product information section for the respective item. If the webcam is not listed there, this device does not have this feature. In this case, there is no technical problem.
• Do you have a device with a webcam and microphone, but still cannot access it?
Please check whether the camera shutter is open. On some models, the camera and microphone are covered by a shutter, which must first be opened using a button or slider.
It is also possible that the Windows privacy settings are preventing access. Please adjust the following Windows settings:
-> Select Start > Settings > Privacy > Camera. Under Allow access to the camera on this device, select Change and ensure that camera access is enabled for this device.
-> Then allow apps to access your camera. In the camera settings, switch to Allow apps to access your camera and make sure this option is enabled.
-> Go to Start > Settings > Privacy > Microphone.
-Select your preferred setting for Allow apps to access your microphone.
• If you have made changes to the Windows privacy settings and it still does not work, we recommend updating the manufacturer drivers.
In recent months, we have unfortunately found that it may be necessary to install certain manufacturer drivers after Windows updates. This means that Microsoft releases automatic updates that can cause problems and may require drivers to be reinstalled. We are not happy about this either. We are very sorry if you have experienced any problems.
The driver update is available directly from the respective manufacturer's website:
